A Little News

I would like to share two updates with you. First, as you learned by my first post we are here so I can help with my three year old granddaughter with her medical expenses. She has Type 1 diabetes her supplies are costly.  As of right now she is doing awesome in her sugar levels. She is on an insulin pump and after several trial and errors the amounts of insulin delivered have been zoned in. There is a new device that we are aiming for which will sound off an alarm if her sugar levels go too high or too low at night while she is sleeping. One of the greatest fears for a diabetic is to go to sleep and not be aware of a problem and not wake up. This also takes a toll on the parents of a diabetic because deep restful sleep is hard to come by.

Our second update concerns our princess dresses. As you remember we are not only trying to help Caydence but we are trying to also help all little girls to be a princess. As Caydence says, “Nana, we are all princesses, even you”.  The news is that by Monday we will have dresses done to post if anyone is interested. We are still waiting for the supplies to make our holiday dress but they will be ready shortly.

The Supplies are IN!

I am so excited to share that we have finally gotten the supplies to start making our beautiful tulle dresses! Our goal is to provide you with a great selection of princess dresses to fill the closets of the little girls in your life. We will be making a green and purple Little Mermaid dress, a purple and pink Rapunzel dress, a grey and blue Cinderella dress, an orange and black Fall Princess Dress and a Night on the Town purple dress. An Inspiring Princess Story

Princess Caydence loves nothing better than a good princess movie or princess story before bedtime. But lately we have been looking for “real stories” about “real princesses”. Of course we found many stories about Prince Williams’s wife Kate Middleton. We also found stories about Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark, and even a princess in Spain Princess Letizia.  Then we found a story about a girl who is not a princess by blood or marriage and it made us both cry.

“Fairy Tale Evening” is the story about a real girl and how those who love her turned her into a princess. Caydence was very moved by this story and compared this girl to Cinderella because, “Cinderella was a special girl and nobody knew it”. We are here to fill the world with more princesses, one little girl at a time.

Every little girl, teenager or woman at some point wants to be a princess or be seen as one. But it is usually not until prom that we are able to fulfill this dream. With my dresses I hope to give little girls the chance to not have to wait until prom. My inspiration for this idea is my three year old granddaughter Caydence. At seventeen months old she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She wears an insulin pump and can tell you why she needs it and how it works. She checks her own blood sugar and will tell you if she is a good number. I asked her how she can be so strong with her diabetes and she said, “Because I’m a princess Nana. My Caydence is truly a princess and an inspiration. She taught me the importance of self-image and how empowering it is for even a little girl. I want to inspire little girls to know that no matter what life holds for them they have their inner princess to help make them be strong.

Our dresses are made of quality materials and are made with love. We made them to be affordable so every little girl can have one.
